BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS- Forever Smiles has the most colorful office around these days, and we couldn’t be happier.
We invited some local art students here for a field trip last month and they went back to their drawing boards to create dental-inspired artwork for our Buffalo Grove orthodontics office. The talented bunch from Art Studio “Artishock” has created an exhibit their instructor, Artishock founder Mrs. Talia Prilutsky, has named “What Makes You Smile.”
As a result, our lobby is adorned with beautiful works of art fashioned with orthodontics as their muse.
Now it’s time to vote! We’re asking our patients and guests to tell us their favorite painting. You can do so by visiting our office, and checking out the photos on Facebook and “liking” your favorites. The winner will be announced May 6, and will receive a scholarship to cover one semester of classes at Artishock, as well as art supplies. The award for second place is a scholarship for one semester of classes. The third place winner will receive art supplies.
The What Makes You Smile exhibit was sparked when Dr. Yan Razdolsky decided to connect with his inner Picasso. Last month, he invited students from Artishock to our office to observe how crafting a beautifully balanced smile for patients incorporates a unique sense of artistry and understanding of science.
“I’ve always enjoyed dissecting subjects, such as orthodontics, down to their most primitive form, and seeing how art and science helps mold and define what I practice,” says Dr. Razdolsky, who treats children and also offers Invisalign for adults. “It’s important for me to give students that insight.”
Prilutsky has christened our office as an ideal place to display her students’ work. It’s large, child-friendly and several Artishock students are even patients of Dr. Razdolsky.
Between now and the end of April, we invite you to get involved at our office and on Facebook by showing these talented young artists how much you enjoy their creations. Cast your vote and help one lucky artist become the proud recipient of an Apple Store gift card, and another claim that awesome gift basket.
