 Dr. Yan Razdolsky ("Dr. Raz") loves being an orthodontist. One reason why is his ability to set the standard of orthodontic care, and to inspire lifelong career decisions. However, while he is always quick to master the newest procedures to continue raising that standard, it is actually his love for his career and his patients that drives him to deliver results quickly, efficiently, and with a smile of his own. He describes his patients as lighthearted and outgoing, filled with laughter and interest, which allows him to create an office atmosphere that is fun and inviting, yet professional and informative. His goal is to exceed expectations by stressing treatment over finances, educating his patients, and making everyone feel comfortable; all this while delivering beautiful smiles in the shortest period of time possible.Dr. Razdolsky received his dental education at the University of Illinois Medical Center. After earning the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1985, Dr. Razdolsky pursued two additional years of residency and extensive training in orthodontics and orthodontic research at the University of Illinois Medical Center. Dr. Razdolsky is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. His professional affiliations include the American and European Associations of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, the Midwestern and Illinois State Societies of Orthodontists, the American Dental Society, the Illinois and Chicago Dental Societies, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. Dr. Razdolsky lectures in the US and internationally and has numerous publications. He had served on many committees in dentistry and orthodontics to further dental science. Ever the continuing student, Dr. Razdolsky and his staff regularly participate in orthodontic, practice management, and communication seminars to improve their skills and expand their services. Dr. Razdolsky’s inventions include five Razdolsky Distraction Osteogenesis Devices (ROD Appliance), which are used for horizontal and vertical bone growth in the jaw. He has received many accolades for his work all over the world. When Dr. Razdolsky is not at the office, you could probably find him at one of his children’s hockey games, meets, or rooting for the Blackhawks if it’s hockey season!
